EU AND EURO AREA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, NOVEMBER 2025

Eurostat has reported that the unemployment rate in the Euro Area was 6.3% in November 2025, down from the revised October unemployment rate of 6.4%. For the broader 27 countries of the entire European Union, the unemployment rate was 6.0% in November 2025, unchanged from the revised October result.

The Euro Area youth unemployment rate was 14.6% in November 2025, down from 14.8% in October. In the European Union, the youth unemployment rate 15.1% in November, down from 15.2% in October. 

The unemployment rate for females in the Euro Area was 6.5% in November (down from 6.6% in October) and the male unemployment rate was 6.1% in November (unchanged). The European Union unemployment rate for females was 6.2% (unchanged) and the unemployment rate for males was 5.8% in November 2025, unchanged from the previous month.

Among EU member state economies, the November unemployment rates were highest in Finland, Spain, and Sweden. The unemployment rate was lowest in Malta, Czechia, and Poland.
