Month-over-month (December 2025 vs November 2025, seasonally adjusted)
The United Kingdom (UK) goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £1.2 billion to £4.3 billion. Exports of goods and services decreased 1.0% (£0.8 billion) to £77.0 billion and imports of goods and services decreased 2.4% (£2.0 billion) to £81.3 billion.
The UK goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.9 billion to £22.7 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.2% (£1.0 billion) to £30.1 billion and imports of goods decreased 3.4% (£1.9 billion) to £52.8 billion.
The UK services trade surplus widened by £0.4 billion to £18.4 billion. Exports of services increased 0.5% (£0.2 billion) to £46.9 billion and imports of services decreased 0.5% (£0.2 billion) to £28.5 billion.

The UK goods and services trade deficit widened by £3.4 billion from December 2024 to December 2025. The goods trade deficit widened by £4.7 billion and the services trade surplus widened by £1.2 billion.

The UK-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.5 billion to £11.7 billion. Exports of goods decreased by 1.9% (£0.3 billion) to £14.6 billion and imports of goods decreased by 3.0% (£0.8 billion) to £26.3 billion.
The UK-non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.3 billion to £11.0 billion. Exports of goods decreased 4.4% (£0.7 billion) to £15.5 billion and imports of goods decreased by 3.8% (£1.1 billion) to £26.5 billion.

The UK-EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.9 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £3.7 billion.


Annual 2025

The UK goods and services trade deficit widened by £24.3 billion to £45.9 billion. Exports of goods and services increased 3.1% (£27.6 billion) to £925.5 billion while imports of goods and services were up 5.7% (£52.0 billion) to £971.5 billion.
The UK goods trade deficit widened by £43.8 billion to £249.7 billion. Exports of goods from the UK decreased 3.0% (£11.7 billion) to £379.8 billion. Imports of goods to the UK increased 5.4% (£32.1 billion) to £629.5 billion.
The UK services trade surplus increased by £19.5 billion to £203.8 billion. Exports of services from the UK increased 7.8% (£39.3 billion) to £545.8 billion while imports of services to the UK increased 6.2% (£19.8 billion) to £342.0 billion.


The UK goods trade deficit with the EU widened by £5.8 billion to £137.7 billion. Exports of goods from the UK to the EU declined by 1.0% (£1.8 billion) to £182.2 billion while imports of goods from the EU to the UK increased by 1.2% (£3.9 billion) to £319.9 billion.
The UK trade deficit with countries outside the EU widened by £38.1 billion to £112.0 billion. Exports from the UK to countries outside the EU decreased 4.8% (£9.9 billion) to £197.5 billion while imports to the UK from non-EU countries increased 10.0% (£28.2 billion) to £309.6 billion.
