US PRODUCTIVITY, Q4 2025 [PRELIMINARY]

US nonfarm business sector labour productivity slowed to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 1.8% in Q4 2025.  Hours worked contracted by 0.2%, limiting growth in output to 1.5% after the gain in productivity.

US unit labour costs rose 4.4%, as the labour productivity improvement of 1.8% was more than offset by a 6.3% rise in hourly compensation. 

Note: All figures are reported as growth from the previous quarter at seasonally adjusted annualized rates.
