UK Consumer Price Index including owner-occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose 3.2% year-over-year in February 2026, unchanged from year-over-year in January 2026. The UK CPI index was up 3.0% year-over-year in February 2026, unchanged from year-over-year in January. The owner occupiers' housing costs component accounts for approximately 18% of the CPIH. It is the main driver for differences between the CPIH and CPI inflation rates. The largest downward contributions came from transport and alcohol/tobacco equally offset by a upward contribution from clothing/footwear, miscellaneous goods/services, and furniture/household goods.
