April 01, 2026EU AND EURO AREA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, FEBRUARY 2026 Note that from 1 January 2026, the Euro Area also includes Bulgaria.
The unemployment rate in the Euro Area was 6.2% in February 2026, up from January unemployment rate of 6.1%. For the broader 27 countries of the entire European Union, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.9% in February 2026.
Among EU member state economies, February unemployment rates were highest in Finland, Spain, and Greece. The unemployment rate was lowest in Bulgaria, Czechia, and Poland.
