EU AND EURO AREA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, MARCH 2026

Note that from 1 January 2026, the Euro Area also includes Bulgaria.

The unemployment rate in the Euro Area was 6.2% in March 2026, down from 6.3% in February. For the broader 27 countries of the entire European Union, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.0% in March 2026.

Among EU member state economies, March unemployment rates were highest in Finland, Spain, Sweden and Greece. The unemployment rate was lowest in Czechia, Bulgaria and Poland.
