June 01, 2026EU AND EURO AREA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, APRIL 2026 Note that from 1 January 2026, the Euro Area also includes Bulgaria.
The unemployment rate in the Euro Area was 6.3% in April 2026, unchanged from March. For the broader 27 countries of the entire European Union, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.0% in April 2026.
Among EU member state economies, April unemployment rates were highest in Finland, Spain, and Greece. The unemployment rate was lowest in Bulgaria.
