Month over month (June 2026 vs May 2026)
The US trade deficit in goods and services narrowed by $4.4 billion to $73.3 billion in June. The goods deficit narrowed by $3.9 billion to $102.1 billion while the services surplus widened by $0.5 billion to $28.8 billion.
Total US exports decreased $2.9 billion to $314.7 billion. Goods exports declined $4.0 billion to $206.9 billion, and services exports increased $1.1 billion to $107.8 billion.
Total imports decreased $7.3 billion to $388.0 billion. Goods imports decreased $7.9 billion to $309.0 billion, and services imports increased $0.6 billion to $79.0 billion.
Year over year (June 2026 vs June 2025)
Compared with June 2025, the US trade deficit widened by $14.6 billion. The goods deficit widened by $16.5 billion and the services surplus increased by $1.9 billion.
Total exports increased by 12.0% (+$33.7 billion). Goods exports increased 15.5% (+$27.8 billion), services exports increased 5.8% (+$5.9 billion).
Total imports increased 14.2% (+$48.2 billion). Goods imports increased 16.7% (+$44.3 billion), and services imports increased 5.3% (+$4.0 billion).
