Month-over-month (July vs June 2026, seasonally adjusted)
The United Kingdom (UK) goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £2.1 billion to £3.5 billion in July. Exports of goods and services increased 2.1% (£1.7 billion) to £81.9 billion and imports of goods and services decreased 0.4% (£0.4 billion) to £85.4 billion.
The UK goods trade deficit narrowed by £2.0 billion to £21.0 billion. Exports of goods increased 4.4% (£1.5 billion) to £34.4 billion and imports of goods decreased 1.1% (£0.6 billion) to £55.4 billion.
The UK services trade surplus remained unchanged at £17.5 billion. Exports of services increased 0.5% (£0.3 billion) to £47.5 billion while imports of services increased 0.7% (£0.2 billion) at £30.0 billion.

The UK goods and services trade balance deficit widened by £1.7 billion from July 2025 to £3.5 billion in July 2026. The goods trade deficit widened by £1.4 billion and the services trade surplus narrowed by £0.3 billion.

The UK-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.3 billion to £11.3 billion. Exports of goods increased by 5.2% (£0.8 billion) to £16.7 billion and imports of goods decreased by 1.5% (£0.4 billion) to £28.0 billion.
The UK-non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.8 billion to £9.7 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.7% (£0.6 billion) to £17.7 billion and imports of goods decreased 0.6% (£0.2 billion) to £27.4 billion.

The UK-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.1 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.5 billion.
