September 18, 2026UK RETAIL SALES, AUGUST 2026 Month-over-month (August 2026 vs July 2026, seasonally adjusted)
UK retail sales values grew 1.3% while volumes (adjusted to remove the effects of price changes) were up 0.5%.
Internet sales were up 2.5% and accounted for 28.8% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (August 2026 vs August 2025)
UK retail sales values were up 6.0% while retail sales volumes were up 2.4%.
Year-to-date (January-August 2026 vs January-August 2025)
UK retail sales values increased 5.0% and retail sales volumes increased 2.1%.
