JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, JUNE 2022

Current Account (June 2022 vs. May 2022)

The net current account surplus widened by 8,301 billion yen to 8,383 billion yen.

  • The net goods and services deficit widened by 3,859 billion yen to 18,320 billion yen.
  • The net primary income surplus widened by 12,164 billion yen to 28,435 billion yen.
  • The net secondary income deficit widened by 4 billion yen to 1,732 billion yen.

 

Trade Balance (June 2022 vs. May 2022)

Net services deficit narrowed by 140 billion yen to 2,455 billion yen.

 

Net goods deficit widened by 3,998 billion yen to 15,865 billion yen

  • Goods exports increased 1,490 billion yen to 84,179 billion yen
  • Goods imports increased 5,488 billion yen to 100,044 billion yen
