In Nova Scotia January 2019, New Motor Vehicles Unit Sales increased 1.0% over January 2018. The 2,698 new motor vehicles sold in January 2019 represent a sales value of $99.6 million, up 2.7% over January 2018.
In Canada January 2019, New Motor Vehicles Unit Sales decreased 6.9% over January 2018. The 111,917 new motor vehicles sold in January 2019 represent a sales value of $4.8 billion, down 3.7% over January 2018.
Country of Manufacturer
In Nova Scotia January 2019, North American manufactured new motor vehicles Unit Sales decreased 2.4% (76.6% share) over January 2018. North American manufactured new motor vehicles Sales Value decreased 1.4% (78.7% share) over January 2018.
In Nova Scotia January 2019, for New Motor Vehicles manufactured overseas, Unit Sales increased 14.1% (23.4% share) over January 2018. For New Motor Vehicles manufactured overseas, Sales Value increased 21.4% (21.3% share) over Jan 2018.
Passenger Cars and Trucks
In Nova Scotia January 2019, passenger car Unit Sales decreased 11.9% (27.9% share) to 754 units over January 2018. Passenger car Sales Value decreased 12.0% (19.9% share) to $20 million over January 2018.

Average Prices
In Nova Scotia January 2019, the new motor vehicles average price increased 1.7% to $36,898 over January 2018. The passenger car average price decreased 0.1% to $26,310 over January 2018. The truck average price increased 0.1% to $41,004 over January 2018.
In Canada January 2019, the new motor vehicles average price increased 3.4% to $42,996 over January 2018.
