UK Trade Balance
Month-over-month (October 2022 vs September 2022, seasonally adjusted )
The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £1.5 billion to £3.1 billion. Exports of goods and services decreased 1.8% (£1.3 billion) to £69.2 billion and imports of goods and services decreased 3.8% (£2.8 billion) to £72.3 billion.
The United Kingdom goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.5 billion to £15.7 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.3% (£1.3 billion) to £37.5 billion and imports of goods decreased 5.0% (£2.8 billion) to £53.2 billion.
The United Kingdom services trade surplus widened by £0.02 billion to £12.521 billion. Exports of services decreased 0.1% (£0.02 billion) to £31.6 billion and imports of services decreased 0.2% (£0.04 billion) to £19.1 billion.

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £2.0 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.4 billion, and the services trade surplus widened by £1.5 billion.

Month-over-month (October 2022 vs September 2022, seasonally adjusted )
The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.8 billion to £7.105 billion. Exports of goods decreased 5.9% (£1.1 billion) to £16.8 billion and imports of goods decreased 7.3% (£1.9 billion) to £23.9 billion.
The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.7 billion to £8.551 billion. Exports of goods decreased 1.0% (£0.2 billion) to £20.7 billion and imports of goods decreased 3.0% (£0.9 billion) to £29.3 billion.
Year-over-year (October 2022 vs October 2021, seasonally adjusted )
The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.6 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.1 billion.
