December 13, 2022UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, AUGUST 2022 TO OCTOBER 2022 
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period August 2022 to October 2022 edged up 0.1 percentage points to 3.7%. This was down from the 4.2% reported for the same period a year ago.
There were 1.247 million unemployed people in the UK, 0.176 million fewer than from a year earlier. Employment in the UK was at 32.773 million, 0.191 million more compared to a year earlier.
