Month-over-month (Nov 2022 vs. Oct 2022, seasonally adjusted turnover value)
In the European Union, retail sales were up 1.2%. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 1.1%.
Year-over-year (Nov 2022 vs. Nov 2021 seasonally adjusted turnover value)
In the European Union, on a year-over-year basis, retail sales were up 7.9% in Nov 2022 vs. Nov 2021. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 6.6% in Nov 2022 vs. Nov2021.
Year-to-date (Jan-Nov 2022 vs. Jan-Nov 2021, seasonally adjusted turnover value)
In the European Union, retail sales were up 10.4%. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 9.2%.
By member state, where data is available, the strongest growth in year-to-date retail sales occurred in Slovenia (39.8%) and Bulgaria (22.8%). The weakest growth was reported in Denmark (3.1%), Finland (3.9%) and Belgium (3.9%).
