August 18, 2023UK RETAIL SALES, JULY 2023 The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value as well as retail sales volume decreased in July 2023.
Month over month (July 2023 vs June 2023)
Retail sales values decreased by 1.0% while volumes (adjusted to remove the effects of price changes) decreased 1.2%.
Internet sales increased by 4.1% and accounted for 27.4% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (July 2023 vs July 2022)
Retail sales values increased 1.1% while retail sales volumes decreased 3.2%.
Year-to-date (January-July 2023 vs January-July 2022)
Retail sales values increased 3.6% and retail sales volumes decreased 3.6%.
