US TRADE BALANCE, JULY 2023

Month over month (July 2023 vs June 2023)

The US net trade deficit widened by $1.3 billion to $65.0 billion. The net goods deficit widened by $2.0 billion to $90.0 billion. The net services surplus widened by $0.685 billion to $25.0 billion.

Total exports increased $3.9 billion to $251.7 billion. Exports of goods increased $3.2 billion to $168.4 billion. Exports of services increased $0.678 billion to $83.3 billion.

Total imports increased $5.2 billion to $316.7 billion. Imports of goods increased $5.2 billion to $258.3 billion. Imports of services decreased $0.006 billion to $58.4 billion.

Year over year (July 2023 vs July 2022)

The US net trade deficit narrowed by $6.7 billion. The net goods deficit narrowed by $0.3 billion. The net services surplus widened by $6.4 billion.

Total exports decreased -$9.0 billion. Exports of goods decreased -$14.5 billion. Exports of services increased $5.5 billion.

Total imports decreased -$15.7 billion. Imports of goods decreased -$14.8 billion. Imports of services decreased -$0.9 billion.
