JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, JULY 2023

Month-over-month (July 2023 vs June 2023)

The net current account surplus widened by ¥421 billion to ¥2,767 billion.

  • Net goods deficit widened by ¥99 billion to ¥115 billion.
  • Net services deficit narrowed by ¥174 billion to ¥266 billion.
  • Net primary income surplus widened by ¥377 billion to ¥3,501 billion.
  • Net secondary income deficit widened by ¥31 billion to ¥354 billion.

 

The net goods deficit widened by ¥99 billion to ¥115 billion.

  • The goods exports increased ¥138 billion to ¥8,511 billion.
  • The goods imports increased ¥237 billion to ¥8,625 billion.
