US manufacturing labour productivity increased 3.3% with hours worked down 0.7%, combining for a 2.6% rise in US manufacturing output.

US unit labour costs were down 1.9%, as the labour productivity improvement of 4.9% more than offset a 2.9% rise in hourly compensation.

US manufacturing hourly compensation increased 4.8%, which was partially offset by the 3.3% rise in manufacturing labour productivity, leading to manufacturing unit labour cost growth of 1.5%.
