Month-over-month (March vs February 2026, seasonally adjusted)
The United Kingdom (UK) goods and services trade deficit widened by £4.3 billion to £9.7 billion in March. Exports of goods and services increased 0.2% (£0.2 billion) to £79.1 billion and imports of goods and services increased 5.3% (£4.5 billion) to £88.8 billion.
The UK goods trade deficit widened by £4.4 billion to £27.2 billion. Exports of goods increased 0.1% (£0.04 billion) to £32.4 billion and imports of goods increased 8.1% (£4.5 billion) to £59.6 billion.
The UK services trade surplus widened by £0.1 billion to £17.6 billion. Exports of services increased 0.2% (£0.1 billion) to £46.8 billion and imports of services remained unchanged at £29.2 billion.

The UK goods and services trade balance deficit widened by £6.6 billion from March 2025 to £9.7 billion in March 2026. The goods trade deficit widened by £9.0 billion and the services trade surplus widened by £2.4 billion.

The UK-EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.2 billion to £12.0 billion. Exports of goods increased by 3.9% (£0.6 billion) to £16.1 billion and imports of goods increased by 2.8% (£0.8 billion) to £28.2 billion.
The UK-non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £4.3 billion to £15.2 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.4% (£0.6 billion) to £16.2 billion and imports of goods increased by 13.3% (£3.7 billion) to £31.4 billion.

The UK-EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.9 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £8.0 billion.
