The United Kingdom (UK) current account deficit narrowed by £1.2 billion from Q1 2026 to Q2 2026 to a deficit of £19.9 billion. The goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.9 billion to £64.0 billion. The services trade surplus grew by £2.5 billion to £51.3 billion. The primary income deficit widened by £2.6 billion to £3.8 billion. The secondary income deficit narrowed by £368 million to £3.3 billion.
UK goods exports grew by 6.7% (+£6.7 billion) while imports of goods increased by 3.5% (+£5.8 billion).

UK services exports increased by 2.2% (+£3.0 billion) and imports of services increased by 0.6% (+£533 million).

UK primary income receipts increased by 2.6% (+£2.8 billion) and primary income payments increased by 5.0% (+£5.4 billion).

UK secondary income receipts increased by 10.7% (+£902 million) and secondary income payments increased by 4.4% (+£534 million).
