-Labour force increased 0.8% (4,000) from January 2016 to 488,800 and decreased 0.5% (-2,600) over February 2015.
-Employment increased 0.2% (800) from January 2016 to 444,300 and decreased 0.6% (-2,700) over February 2015.
-Unemployment increased 7.5% (3,100) from January 2016 to 44,500 and increased 0.2% (+100) over February 2015.
-Unemployment rate increased 0.6 percentage points from January 2016 to 9.1%.
In Canada February 2016 (seasonally-adjusted, month-over-month and year-over-year):
-Labour force increased 0.1% (17,800) from January 2016 to 19.4 million and increased 1.1% (+212,600) over February 2015.
-Employment remained virtually unchanged (0.0% change) (-2,300) from January 2016 to 18.0 million and increased 0.7% (+117,900) over February 2015.
-Unemployment increased 1.4% (+20,100) from January 2016 to 1.4 million and increased 7.2% (+94,700) over February 2015.
-Unemployment rate increased 0.1 percentage points from January 2016 to 7.3%.
In Halifax February 2016 (3 month moving average, seasonally adjusted):
-Labour force increased 0.2% (+400) from January 2016 to 241,500 and decreased 1.0% (-2,300) over February 2015.
-Employment declined 0.1% (-300) from January 2016 to 223,000 and decreased 1.5% (-3,300) over February 2015.
-Unemployment increased 3.8% (+600) from January 2016 to 16,200 and increased 7.3% (+1,100) over February 2015.
-Unemployment rate increased 0.3 percentage points from January 2016 to 6.8%.
