Description

This is to advise that Guild Contracting Specialties proposed Asbestos Transfer / Bulking Facility located in at or near 25 Wilkinson Av., Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, will be registered for environmental assessment on January 11, 2011, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

Guild Contracting Specialties requires an Asbestos Transfer/Bulking Facility site for asbestos waste and requires a temporary storage location at 25 Wilkinson Ave., Dartmouth commencing Spring of 2011.

Minister's Decision

On March 2, 2011 the Minister of Environment released a decision (PDF:108k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions (PDF:24k).
