Description
This is to advise that on October 3, 2013, Natural Forces Wind Inc. registered an Addendum
(PDF:1.4mb) to the Gaetz Brook Wind Project Registration Document originally submitted on July 17, 2013, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.
The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to construct and operate a 2.3 MW wind project at a site in the community of Gaetz Brook, approximately 5.5 km southwest of Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia in Halifax Regional Municipality. Pending approval to proceed, construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2013, with operations to begin in spring/summer 2014.
Minister's Decision
On November 15, 2013, the Minister of Environment released a decision (PDF:41k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions (PDF:187k).
