If you see or experience unsafe food handling practices by food workers and/or unhealthy conditions at food establishments in Nova Scotia, please report them here using the form below. The submitted forms are monitored from Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Nova Scotia Environment staff respond to all complaints in a timely manner. This may involve a visit to the site in question, assessment of the problem, and providing education to correct the problem.

Did you or others in your party become ill? Time is very important in investigating foodborne illnesses. Please call one of our regional or district offices Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 1-877-936-8476 or https://novascotia.ca/nse/dept/regional-office-locations.asp.

You will be interviewed over the phone about what you ate or drank at the food establishment and what symptoms you experienced. All information is kept confidential.

Seek medical attention if you think you may have a serious illness. You may need to see your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after a couple of days.
