Agriculture in the Classroom – Care storybook

All animals and humans need shelter clean water, and nutritious food. This looks different for pets, farm animals and wildlife but the principles are the same for each. The story for this book is told from the perspective of a dog that lives next door to a dairy farm.

Teachers can use this book in the classroom to support primary science outcomes (learners will compare living things through the senses) and grade 1 science outcomes (learners will analyze interconnectedness of living things and the environment).

The book is only available for primary and grade 1 classrooms in public schools. It’s not available for private schools, homeschoolers or other grades. If you’re interested in the book if it does become available for other groups, contact us by email.

The Care storybook is also available in French.
