Veterinary Student Placement Program

The Nova Scotia Veterinary Student Placement Program provides veterinary students with applied learning opportunities and gives them experience in rural Nova Scotia's agriculture industry. The program places students who have completed at least 1 year of veterinary school with farms and veterinary clinics for a 12-week work term from May to August 2024.

Eligible employers (farms or veterinary clinics) will receive a wage subsidy of $5,400. Students will receive a bursary of $2,500 after completing the program.

Students can apply if they:

If positions are not filled, Nova Scotia students attending other veterinary colleges or Atlantic Veterinary College students from outside Nova Scotia will be considered.
