Application can be made in person at the address above or by completing the form below and submitting by fax, email or in person. Applicants will be notified by Department of Natural Resources staff if application is approved.

Expiry & Renewal:

This licence is valid for one year; from April 1st to March 31st and may be renewed. Renewal notices are generally sent via email.

Initial Application or Annual Renewal: $31.17 plus HST |
Related Requirements:

- Valid N.S.Wildlife Resources Card;
- If any fur buyer wants to ship furs out of the province, a Wildlife Export Permit from the N.S. Department of Natural Resources is required.

Additional Information:
|
|
- Fur buyers must keep specified records to account for all purchases,
sales and inventory of pelts and skins.
- Fur buyers may only buy fur from fur harvesters possessing valid
Nova Scotia licences and permits, or licenced bear hunters.
- A licenced fur buyer does not require a separate Fur
Retention Permit .
