Workers’ compensation: engagement

The Government of Nova Scotia is reviewing workers’ compensation. Share your feedback on what changes can help improve the workers’ compensation system.

About the engagement

The Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) provides workplace injury insurance to workers and employers in Nova Scotia. It provides insurance to 20,600 employers and insures about 353,000 workers.

The workers’ compensation system helps educate workers and workplaces on how to prevent workplace injury. It also supports safer work in the workplace. And when a workplace injury occurs, it provides financial help, access to support services and benefits to workers and their families. Support is also available to workers and employers throughout the process to help with a healthy and safe return to work.

Government is reviewing the workers’ compensation system (including organizations and support service providers) to help improve the system for both employers and workers throughout the province.

Workers and employers are invited to share feedback on how the workers’ compensation system can better support workers and workplaces (including workplaces that are not currently required to have workers’ compensation injury insurance).
