Arm and Leg Prosthesis Program
The Arm and Leg Prosthesis Program helps people living in Nova Scotia by providing coverage to help cover the cost of arm and leg prosthesis. The program provides coverage to residents who need a limb prosthesis, and/or the services of a qualified prosthetist for arm and leg prosthesis.
Only the services and products of approved providers are eligible for coverage.
The program provides coverage to residents of all ages who are eligible for MSI coverage and who need a conventional arm and/or leg prosthetic procedure, prosthetic services, and/or components.
Coverage under the Arm & Leg Prosthesis Program includes:
- Initial fitting and provision of a prosthesis,
- Replacement and/or repair of the prosthesis, and/or components, when necessary, in accordance with the conditions listed in the Department’s Arm and Leg Prosthesis Program guide
