Information on the New Fee System For Non Residents

Effective April 1, 2003, there will be a charge for out of province requests for paper copies of the Woodlot Management Home Study Modules.

Who does this affect?

This affects all new students who do not live in Nova Scotia who wish to receive the Woodlot Management Home Study Course by mail. It does not affect non-residents who choose to take the course online. There is no charge for anyone to take the online version of the course.

When does this take effect?

The new policy takes effect on April 01 of 2003. It only affects new non resident students registering for the first time on or after that date. This means that current non resident students already receiving the mail out version of the course will continue to receive any remaining modules that they choose, free.

What are the fees?

New students will have to pay a one time fee as follows:

Other Provinces/Territories of Canada: $82.00
Continental United States: $95.00
All Other International: $108.00

Amounts are in Canadian dollars, and payments via cheque or money order are accepted payable to “Minister of Finance”. The full amount is due prior to the first module being mailed.

Payment should be sent to:

Woodlot Home Study Course
DNR Operations Division
P.O. Box 698
Halifax, Nova Scotia
CANADA    B3J 2T9

What does the fee entitle me to?

The one time fee entitles you to receive all available Homestudy Course modules via mail delivered to your mailing address. If you only want to receive one or a few of the modules, the full fee still applies.
