Description
This is to advise that on December 6, 2013, Affinity Wind LP registered the Limerock Wind Project for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.
The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to provide 4.99 MW of wind power into the local distribution grid 62N-T1 in Limerock, Pictou County, NS. The Project will consist of three 1.68 MW wind turbines on privately owned land.
Minister's Decision
On February 4, the Minister of Environment released a decision (PDF:30k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions (PDF:160k).
