Be safe when hosting or attending a celebration, including dinner parties, gatherings in a home and corporate parties and events:


Take precautions when you’re planning and participating in activities:

  • don’t participate in activities if you’re feeling unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms or are self-isolating
  • keep activities within gathering limits
  • limit activities that require close contact between people from different households or social groups
  • weather permitting, have activities in outdoor spaces
  • choose activities and games without shared items and where participants can keep a physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from each other
  • keep a physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from others, except people from your household or close social group
  • avoid last-minute shopping at peak times by planning ahead
  • consider shopping online or using curbside pickup
  • wear a mask when shopping and in public places
  • take hand sanitizer with you (with at least 60% alcohol)
  • wash your hands as soon as you get home
