Provincial Committees

Sexual violence is a serious health, social and public safety issue. In April 2014, work began to develop Nova Scotia’s first provincial Sexual Violence Strategy with implementation targeted for 2015. Through our engagement, we heard that public awareness and education are necessary components of the Strategy.

The Department of Community Services is seeking interested and qualified individuals to serve on two Provincial Committees to help facilitate the implementation of these strategic actions under the Sexual Violence Strategy.

The role of the committees is to help guide and shape the development of public awareness and education/training materials. A new Provincial Specialist is supporting implementation of the strategy, including chairing these two committees. Sarah Granke can be reached at .
