Standard recommendations
The Accessibility Advisory Board established the Public Transportation Standard Development Committee to help the board make recommendations on the content and implementation of an accessibility standard in public transportation and transportation infrastructure. Committee members included representatives from disability organizations, impacted sectors (like rural transit providers and municipalities) and government. The majority of committee members identified as having a disability.
The recommendations will be used to prepare Nova Scotia's public transportation accessibility standard.
