Shedding light on energy savings
LED Roadway Lighting, based in Amherst and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is a world leader in the development of light emitting diode (LED) lighting, which uses substantially less energy than traditional street lighting. This company’s technology has allowed municipalities in Nova Scotia to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions – and energy costs – through the installation of LED lights, which have a design life of 20 years, providing a commercially viable alternative to existing lighting products.
