Grants

There are two grants available:

Canada Student Grant for Students with Disabilities

Eligible students may receive $2,800 per academic year to help pay for post-secondary education (tuition and books). If you meet the disability criteria and financial need of one dollar, you are automatically assessed for this grant.

Nova Scotia Grant for Services and Equipment

Students with disabilities pursuing post-secondary education may be eligible for non-repayable assistance for educational disability related services and/or equipment required to participate in the student’s program of study. This grant requires a separate online application located in your MyPATH account.

Some examples of services and equipment may include:

  • Tutor
  • Note-taker
  • Learning Strategist
  • Text to speech or voice dictation software
  • Technical aids

Workplace Support Program

The Workplace Support Program offered through Team Work Cooperative may be able to help you. You may qualify for funding for support items, not covered through other programs, such as Post-Secondary Accessibility Services. Such support items may include appliances for the hearing impaired, van conversions, wheelchair purchases, and repairs.
