Who Needs This Certification?
Anyone who wants to transfer a pressure welder license from one company to another within the Province of Nova Scotia: OR Anyone who wants to transfer a welder qualification card from another jurisdiction.

Application Forms & Process:
A transfer request form must be submitted to the Department. Transfer of a pressure welder license within the Province of Nova Scotia: A transfer request form must be completed stating the procedure you want the license transferred to and if the Chief inspector or inspector is satisfied he/she may without further testing and on payment of the fee, issue to the welder a new license which shall bear the same expiry date as the original qualification card. OR Inter-Provincial welder qualification card transfer: An Inter-Provincial Transfer request form must be completed stating the Province of origins, procedure you want the qualification card transferred to and also a copy of the qualification card from the Province of origins and if the Chief inspector or inspector is satisfied he/she may without further testing and on payment of the fee, issue to the welder a new pressure welder license which shall bear the same expiry date as the original qualification card.
Waiting Period:
5 to 10 business days Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received
Expiry & Renewal:
This license will expire as per the original card.

Welding procedure registration: $51.55
Related Requirements:
The company must register a welding procedure with the Province of Nova Scotia.
Additional Information:
Testing is done in accordance with applicable American Society of Mechanical Engineers Codes and Standards as well as related CSA Standards.
