Accessibility Advisory Board

The Accessibility Advisory Board is responsible for advising and making recommendations to the Minister of Justice about accessibility.

Join the board

Join the Accessibility Advisory Board and help build an accessible Nova Scotia. The Accessibility Advisory Board has up to 12 members and terms run for three years. The majority of members must be persons with disabilities, Deaf and/or neurodivergent persons and have one or more of the following:

  • Senior leadership and/or board experience
  • Experience in public sector policy and administration, finance, communications, human resources, legal services, or stakeholder engagement
  • Be an active champion with knowledge of issues that are important in disability communities
