These changes will result in an expanded and more consistent suite of services across the province. And they will ensure that Nova Scotians will have access to labour market information and career planning advice.

Employment Assistance Services

Program Information

Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centres offer an integrated bundle of employment services to help Nova Scotians understand, prepare for, and meet the needs of the provincial labour market. Centres also provide services to aid businesses in recruiting, managing and developing the talent they require to be more productive in a global economy.

Nova Scotia Works Centres are operated via a network of service providers across the province. The Department of Labour and Advanced Education’s Employment Nova Scotia (ENS) Division is responsible for administering funding to these organizations via the Employment Assistance Services Program (NSEAS).

Who delivers the Employment Assistance Services?

  • Employment assistance services, via Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centres, are offered to job seekers and employers via a network of funded service providers.
