The reorganized Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture pledges to serve the public as department headquarters staff transition to rural Nova Scotia. This new website is part of an effort to inform and help stakeholders, and the general public, about the province's fisheries.

Many of the programs and services of the department still exist with new experts ready to help. The new headings are intended to be more user-friendly and helpful.
