Designated Universities under the Univesity Foundations Act

Recruiters who find foreign workers to be employed by a university do not need to be licensed with Labour Standards to do that type of recruitment work in Nova Scotia.

Universities who are hiring foreign workers to work for the university do not need to obtain a Foreign Worker Employer Registration Certificate.

Note: In both of these cases, the university must be the employer for the exemptions to apply.
