Register with Nova Scotia’s online service to Submit Your Form On-Line (Private Home)


This is for persons/employers employing a foreign worker to work in their private home.

 

Print these instructions

 

You will need the following information:

  • Your email address
  • A password which meets a ‘strength’ test (which is explained on-screen
  • Three questions and answers which you can use to recover your password if necessary
  • These printed instructions

Once you have completed the registration steps outlined below, you will be able to log in to Nova Scotia’s online service at any time to complete and submit a Foreign Worker Employer Registration form.

 

1. Go to Nova Scotia’s online service website and select the ‘Sign up for Nova Scotia’s online service’ button.

Step 1 - Follow the on-screen directions to enter your user name (your email address), first name, last name and password. Make sure that your password meets the ‘strength’ requirements listed on-screen. Please note @ # $ % are the only four symbols that can be used in your password. Select ‘Continue’.

Step 2 - Enter three security questions and answers. You can use these to recover your password if you forget it. Select ‘Continue’.

Step 3 - Review the Terms and Conditions of use and check the ‘I Agree’ checkbox if you agree with the Terms and Conditions. Select ‘Continue’. You will see a summary of the information that you entered on-screen. Review it and, if correct, select ‘Submit’ and then ‘Continue’. If not correct, use the ‘Back’ button to return to a previous screen to edit the information.

You are now registered for Nova Scotia’s online service. On the Home page, enter your user name (email) and password that you just created and select Sign In’.
Once signed in, select the ‘Temporary Foreign Workers Employer Registration’ link in the right hand portion of the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete and submit the form. The fields requiring information are outlined in red.

To avoid delays in processing your application for registration, please provide as much information as possible on the form.

 

2. When you have completed the form, do the following:

  • Select the ‘Print’ button to print a copy of the completed form for your records.
  • Select the ‘Submit’ button and select ‘OK’ on the confirmation message.
  • If you have not filled in all the required information, a message will display. If it does, enter the required information in the form and then select Submit again.

The form will be sent to your ‘My Cart’ for final submission. There is no fee for the application but in order for your form to be submitted, you need to do the following ‘payment’ steps.

    • Select the checkbox beside the Foreign Worker Employer Registration Application transaction type description and then select the ‘Pay All Pending Fee(s)’ button. You will not be asked for your credit card information.
    • Select ‘Yes’ to proceed with payment

  • You will see a ‘Payment Successfully processed’ message and ‘My Cart’ is empty. This means that your completed form has been submitted to the Foreign Worker office for processing.

 

3. Logout.

  • Select the Logout link in the top right hand corner to log out. If you want to continue using Nova Scotia’s online services, click the ‘Back’ button to be returned to the Nova Scotia’s online service Options page.

 

4. You can save a partially completed form and return to it later to complete and submit. Follow these steps to return to a saved form:

Step 1 - Open Nova Scotia’s online service and enter your username (email) and password.

Step 2 - On the left hand side of the page, select the ‘Individual Account’ button. This will give you access to your saved form.

Step 3 - In the Message list, select the ‘Go to Briefcase’ button.

Step 4 - In the list of ‘Forms to be Submitted Online’ select the ‘Open’ button next to your Foreign Worker form.

Step 5 - Complete the form and follow the on-screen instructions to submit the form. As previously noted, there is no fee to register.
