When an amendment application requests an addition to the Bargaining Unit, the Board will request some evidence of membership, such as membership cards.

On an application to combine units, the Board may require separate votes in each unit or other satisfactory evidence of the wishes of the employees.

When an amendment is sought for positions that have been agreed to by collective bargaining the application will not be granted unless there has been significant change in that classification and the amendment may not take effect until the incumbent’s position is replaced.

Normally, amendments to include will take effect immediately unless there is agreement to the contrary while amendments to exclude take effect at the date of the Board Order.
