Experiences during the early childhood years lay the foundation for lifelong health and well-being. Nova Scotia Health and Wellness recognizes the importance of the early years and supports public policy, strategies and initiatives that promote and protect the health of children and families in Nova Scotia.
All families can benefit from support and education during the early years. Many communities offer such support in the form of play groups, library programs, and parenting courses.
For information on early childhood programs, contact your local Public Health Office.
