Who Needs This Registration Number?

This registration number certifies approval of the design of a boiler or pressure vessel and high pressure piping systems and fittings so that it can be legally operated in Nova Scotia.

Application Forms & Process:

A letter of application can be sent to Labour, Skills, and Immigration. When completed, it is submitted to the Department, along with the applicable fees.

For registration of fittings, a Statutory Declaration is required to be submitted with your CRN request and design information.

If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the registration number will be sent to the applicant by mail along with an invoice.

Waiting Period:
5 to 10 business days
Provided that all the items that must accompany the application have been received
Expiry & Renewal:
This registration number for pressure vessels, boilers and high pressure piping does not expire. However, the expiry date for pressure fittings is 10 years unless renewed.
