As required by Section 23(4B) of the Wilderness Areas Protection Act, as of January 1 , 2012, permits will no longer be issued to use motorized vehicles for moose hunting in Moose Management Zone 5 (Pollets Cove-Aspy Fault Wilderness Area). As a result of this change, amendments to the Moose Hunting Regulations have been proposed to allow for clarity in seasons and zone boundary descriptions for Zones 1 and 5. These amendments are currently under review and details on seasons and number of available licences for 2012 will be announced when available. There are no changes proposed to seasons , zone boundaries or numbers of licences for Zones 2, 3 and 4.
