Possession or use of a rifle, shotgun or muzzleloader is prohibited in areas covered by Moose Management Zones 2, 3 and 4 between 12 September and 8 October. This order has been made by the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables under subsection 21(1) of the Wildlife Act (PDF 48 kB).
Bear hunting may be conducted by trapping, snaring, crossbow in these areas, but use of firearms is not permitted.
