Youth Hunting Programs

The Department of Natural Resources supports a number of initiatives to encourage youth to participate in hunting and trapping. Since 2011, DNR has offered annual two-day, one-night March Break hunting camps for youth. In July 2016, DNR will be piloting a five-day, one-overnight program called "Back to Nature – Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Skills for Youth" taking place at the Natural Resources Education Centre in Middle Musquodboit.
