Homicide

The Government of the Province of Nova Scotia is offering a reward in the amount of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the homicide of Joseph "JoJo" Beals.

On February 20, 2021, members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  Further investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle had been shot and the vehicle collision was the result of same.    Joseph Beals was transported to hospital where he passed away.

The medical examiner ruled the cause of death was a homicide.

Investigators believe there are persons who have information they have not offered to the police that could result in arrests and possible charges.

The reward is payable in Canadian funds and will be apportioned as deemed just by the Minister of Justice for the Province of Nova Scotia.  Employees of law enforcement and correctional agencies are not eligible to collect this reward.
